This weekend, Archbishop Cushley has sent a pastoral letter to all parishes and faithful in the Archdiocese. The letter is a response to a proposed Bill in the Scottish Parliament to legalise assisted suicide. It will undermine the right to life and put vulnerable people at risk of coming under pressure to end their lives prematurely. You can download a copy of the letter by clicking here. The Archbishop also encourages all faithful to consider signing the petition as mentioned in his letter. The petition can be found at the back of the church or signed online by visiting www.carenotkilling.scot

Special Service to Close the Season of Creation 2022:
Join us at St Joseph's on Tuesday 4th October at 7pm, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi, as we pray and reflect on our place in creation and respond to Pope Francis' call to care for our Common Home. Our special service will include scripture, music, prayer and reflection using the themes set out in Laudato Si, Pope Francis' encyclical on caring for our Common Home. This is an ecumenical service, and all are welcome, of all faiths, denominations and none. |
