Mass readers work on a rotational basis and deliver the readings (first, psalm and second) on Sunday mornings and during the week. On a Sunday morning, readers work in pairs to deliver the readings before the celebrant delivers the Gospel.

Mass readers may also be asked to read at services such as funerals, the bereavement mass, the Easter Vigil or the Midnight Mass at Christmas.

New readers are always welcome to join the rota and anyone wishing to do so should speak to the parish priest.
